FedEx and Aurora Expand Autonomous Commercial Linehaul Trucking Pilot in  Texas Ahead of Schedule

FedEx Freight made two significant moves this week. First, it completed its spinoff from FedEx Corp and began independent trading on the NYSE under the ticker FDXF on June 1, 2026, with $8.7 billion in revenue and $1.1 billion in projected adjusted operating income. Second, shortly after its market debut, incoming CEO John Smith announced that autonomous linehaul trucks are technically ready for commercial deployment. The primary barrier to large-scale driverless trucking is regulatory approval.
